Employment Opportunities:

General Practitioner - Dungavel IRC, Strathaven

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Part-time / Flexible

Schedule: Monday-Saturday

Closing date: Ongoing

Registered General Nurse - Dungavel IRC, Strathaven

Salary: £34,000 – £36,000 per annum, (based on 40 hours per week)

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-time

Schedule: 12 Hour shift, weekend availability, night and day shifts

Closing date: 9th August, 2024

Work Experience and Vocational Placements:

Working in partnership with the University of Glasgow we provide vocational, on-the-job, work placements for student nurses at Dungavel Immigration and Removal Centre in Strathaven.  Placements usually last for seven weeks and offer a range of hands-on learning opportunities in a uniquely challenging secure environment.  

Working closely with our highly qualified Healthcare Team, students will experience different aspects of holistic patient-centred nursing whilst developing a range of professional, clinical and interpersonal skills; from hands-on patient care, to knowledge consolidation and building confidence, resilience and team working capabilities.

Please note, for all vacancies and placements listed above, successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record check and Home Office Clearance. 

Security training will be provided and enhanced PVG and CTC clearance will be arranged. Due to Home Office CTC requirements for posts based inside IRC’s, your application is unable to be considered if you do not meet the UK residency requirement, which includes having spent the past 3 years living within the UK.
