Following the retirement of Dr Paul Armitage from this position, we welcome Dr Ehsan Rafiq to the Med-Co family as our newly appointed Medical Director.
Dr Rafiq has been a GP Partner in a modern Manchester Practice for the past 11 years. In addition, he has worked regularly in a Cat A Prison for 14 years. He has a specialist interest in substance Misuse and has been running SMS clinics in both community and Prison settings for the past 7 years.
He has been a GP trainer for 8 years and an Appraiser for 4 years. He is a specialist advisor to the CQC and has an interest in Medico-Legal work, which he has been doing for the past 4 years.
We are excited about the experience and enthusiasm that he will bring to our team. He officially starts in April, however, he is currently getting up to speed with everything in the meantime.
